Monte Amiata

Amiata Mountain rises in the Alta Tuscan Maremma, on the border between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena and is a breathtaking 1738 meters high.

The slopes of this Maremman mountain are home to many quaint and small towns and villages, filled with monuments, buildings and churches that tell the history and culture of the territory and boast views which stretch from sea to forest landscapes, to rolling valleys and plains to rocky mountains. Some of the more beautiful towns in the area include Castel del Piano, Seggiano, Arcidosso and Santa Fiora.

Amiata Mountain is a mountain of volcanic origins, shown by the rocks and earth found in the area. A place of great natural beauty, the area is particularly famous for its gastronomy, with typical products such as chestnuts, mushrooms, oil and wine boasting international recognition and the highest quality.
